We recognize the above elements in the personality of our great benefactors, who did not fail to allocate large sums of money for the creation of the organization and through land donation transmitting the spiritual wealth of the benefactors, their noble feelings for the human soul and their undivided love and generosity towards culture and society.<\/p><p>Thanks to the coordinated efforts of the late Andreas Christofides and Kostas Theofilou from Limassol, the establishment of the Pancyprian Association of Parents of Retarded Persons in Limassol was achieved on a pan-Cypriot basis, which resulted in people with special needs being accepted by society as a whole.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-83ae2ea e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"83ae2ea\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-20f1396 elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" data-id=\"20f1396\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"image.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>With the efforts of the late Anthoula Theofilou (photo) as well as the members of the Association of the Organization, it was possible to legally establish the Organization of Agios Stefanos and have the right to participate in the Pancyprian Disability Activities.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In 1964, the company was established under the name &#8220;Limassol Foundation for the Protection of Retarded Persons&#8221;, which was with limited liability. Its construction was made possible thanks to the generous donation of land by Pavlina Pavlidou in memory of her parents, Pavlos and Kristalia Pavlidou, and her sister, Stella Pavlidou \u2013 Alifanti.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c76d950 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"c76d950\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4ac2552 elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" data-id=\"4ac2552\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"image.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"206\" src=\"https:\/\/agiosstefanos.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/5-300x206-1.jpg\" class=\"attachment-large size-large wp-image-1456\" alt=\"\u0397 \u0399\u03c3\u03c4\u03bf\u03c1\u03af\u03b1 \u03bc\u03b1\u03c2\" \/>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8e257c4 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"8e257c4\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-75e7d7c e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"75e7d7c\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9304626 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9304626\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>It also received significant assistance from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and State aid and Private Initiative as donors.
